“Please refer to our letter no. Mg/36/2009-12 dated February 22, 2010 addressed to the Chairman & Managing Director of our Bank on the above subject. A copy of the said letter along with back papers is enclosed for your kind perusal.

In this connection, we further reiterate that Bank had issued a circular no. CHO/POS/37/87 dated June 22, 1987 advising granting of increment(s) to the officers presently employed in the Bank, but had passed Part I/II of CAIIB Examination(s) while in service in other banks/financial institutions prior to joining our Bank w.e.f. 1.7.1979 or the date of joining of the officer whichever is later, and disburse arrears after making the statutory deductions e.g. Income Tax, Provident Fund Contribution etc. The said circular of the bank is still in operation. We enclose a photocopy of the said circular for your kind perusal and necessary action.

You may also note that according to our estimate there are about 23 directly recruited officers in our Bank who had completed their CAIIB Examination(s) in their erstwhile employment before joining our Bank.

In view of the above, we request you to kindly look into the matter and advise the department to grant additional increment(s) to those directly recruited officers who had completed their CAIIB Examination(s) in their erstwhile employment before joining our Bank and make payment from the date of their joining the Bank.

We look forward to an early action from your end in this regard.

                                                                              Yours faithfully
