Reimbursement limit of medical expenses on
the strength of the certificate of the officer of having incurred the expenses shall be as

| Certain Important
Operational Guidelines |
- The claims of Branch Managers can be passed at branch itself
subject to ratification by their Regional Offices.
- The limit can be accumulated upto three years.
- Family means officer employee's spouse, wholly dependent
parents and children.
- Children include step children and legally adopted children
but shall not include married or widowed daughter.
- Parents include step mother but not step father.
- Wholly dependent means children and parents having
individual & in aggregate income upto Rs 1500 per month.
- Married female employee can include parents-in-law in family
provided they ordinarily reside with her and are dependent on her.
- Hospitalization expenses will be reimbursed to the extent of
100% in case of officer himself / herself and 75% in the case of dependent family members
to the extent permissible in terms of hospitalization scheme.
- Incase of death of hospitalized employee, the charges may be
paid to the legal heirs.
- Medical aid and hospitalization facilities would be
admissible to officers under suspension.
- An officer undergoing sterilization operation for promotion
of small family will be eligible for reimbursement of expenses for minor operation.
- In case of induced abortion, charges may be reimbursed in
the same way as Caesarean Operation/ Operative interference because of complicated labour
etc.
- An officer shall not be eligible for reimbursement of
hospitalization expenses incurred after the date of retirement even if they pertain to 30
days period after hospitalization.
- Medical Expenses incurred in respect of the following
diseases which need domiciliary treatment as may be certified by the recognized hospital
authorities and bank's medical officer may be reimbursed- Cancer, Leukemia, Pleurisy,
Thalasamea, Tuberculosis, Paralysis, Cardiac Ailment, Leprosy, Kidney ailment, Epilepsy,
Parkinson's disease, Psychiatric disorder , Diabetes, Hepatitis-B, Haemophilia and
Myaestheniagravis.
- An amount of Rs.50,000/- as advance to be adjusted from the
medical bill and a demand Loan of Rs.25,000/- at commercial rate of interest to minimize
the hardship on account of huge expenses required for undergoing Special Operations
relating to Heart, Lungs, Brain Cancer, Kidney Transplantation and Pacemaker etc. may be
granted. The demand loan is repayable in 24 monthly instalments.

| Regulation
25 (Residential Accommodation) |
- No officer shall be entitled as a matter of right to be
provided with residential
accommodation by the Bank.
- It shall, however, be open to the Bank to provide
residential accommodation to an officer on payment by the officer, on and from 1st
November, 1999, a sum equal to 2.5 % of the basic pay in the first stage of the scale of
pay in which he is placed or the standard rent for the accommodation, whichever is less:
Provided that where the officer is provided with furniture at such residence, a further
sum equal to 0.5% of basic pay in the first stage of the scale of pay in which he is
placed will be recovered by the Bank from him.
Provided further that, where such residential accommodation is provided by the bank, the
charges for electricity, water, gas and conservancy shall be borne by the officer.

| Certain Important Operational
Guidelines |
Following officers are eligible for
residential accommodation:
|
- All officers in Scale IV and above.
- Senior Manager, Managers in Scale-II and Scale- I officers
holding No.1 post in branch
- Deputy Chief Officers in Zonal Offices ( In charge of
department)
- Deputy Chief Officers, Assistant Chief Officers in Regional
Offices (In charge of Department)
- Senior Manager ( Cash) of EL Branches.
- Faculty Members and Inspecting Officers
- Lead Bank Officers
- Officers deputed to RRBs provided they were enjoying
facility before deputation.
- All officers posted at Metropolitan Centres.
- All officers posted at State Capitals
- All officers transferred back to home state in any position
and in subsequent postings after serving outside state for 3 years. All officers
transferred out of State of domicile.
- Officers posted at non-family stations shall be eligible for
accommodation at place of his immediate previous posting or at any other place of choice,
provided they do not have their own house either at the previous place of posting or place
of choice.

| Officers will not be eligible for
accommodation in the following circumstances: |
- Officers who won their house or have built a house with
Bank's loan at their place of posting. However if such house is below their standard,
permission can be granted by the Board.
- Officers posted/ transferred to place of choice/domicile.
However, this condition shall not be applicable to officers in scale-IV and above and
officer working in project areas serving out of state for 3 years.
- Officers transferred/posted to a particular place of posting
on request.
- Officers not confirmed in Bank service.
- Where owned house is let out and steps have not been taken
for vacation of the same.
- Where officers are posted at same place after promotion from
clerical cadre.

Rate per Sq. ft. will be
increased or decreased by the following amount for every
rise or fall of block of 48 point in cost price index ( Base Dec.'80 =408)

- The difference between the actual rent of a leased
accommodation and rental ceiling shall be borne by the officer where the actual rent of
the accommodation provided exceeds the rental ceiling.
- The eligibility in respect of rental ceiling shall get
increased or decreased with the increase or decrease in Consumer Price Index even during
the lease period and the officer posted in Major "A" Class Cities and State
Capital shall be reimbursed the difference between the actual rent and the eligible rental
ceiling of the officer accordingly in the case of an accommodation taken in the name of
the bank.
- Furnished accommodation is a package facility. An officer
has to avail or reject the facility as a whole. Where the officer wants to surrender the
facility of residential accommodation, the Bank will not recover any amount but he will
not be paid HRA and accommodation would not ordinarily be made available to him during his
posting on that post.
- No residential accommodation owned by the officer shall be
taken on lease for residential accommodation for such officer himself.
- If required, advance upto 3 month's rent may be paid to the
respective landlords. However, in extreme exigencies in Metropolitan Centres, State
Capitals and Urban Centres advance upto 6 month's rent may be paid with prior permission
from competent authority.
- Brokerage not exceeding one month's rent may be paid
directly to the broker against his stamped receipt in Metropolitan/Area-1 centres.

27( Loan for the purchase of conveyance) |
Eligibility:An officer drawing a
Basic pay of less than Rs.6,210/- per month shall not be eligible for purchase of Motor
Car. However, physically handicapped officer drawing basic pay of less than Rs.6210/- per
month shall be eligible for a loan for purchase of special Motor Car marketed by Maruti
Udyog Ltd. Provided he has completed 5 years of continuous service.

Limit:
- For Car:- 80% of cost subject to a maximum of Rs. 3,50,000/-
- For any other conveyance:- 90% of the cost subject to a
maximum of Rs 60,000/- However, for Agriculture Field Officers and Marketing Officers, the
maximum limit shall be 90% of the cost without any maximum ceiling.
- Loan for repairs of Motor Car available once in every five
years;- Rs.10,000/-

- Valuation Certificate from an approved Surveyor.

| Second Loan for conveyance: |
| An officer may be granted a second loan for
purchase of conveyance provided- |
- Balance outstanding in the first conveyance loan is fully
adjusted and
- Requisite margin for purchase of second conveyance is
provided by the officer from his own source,

28( Loan for purchase of houses): |
Eligibility: |
- An officer who has completed 5 years of continuous service
in the bank shall be eligible.
- Competent authority may relax the above condition where the
officer was in confirmed service of other Public Sector Bank or Public Financial
Institution or RBI or Central Govt./State Govt./ Undertaking of Central govt. before
joining the service, provided he has not availed such loan from the previous employer.
- Ex-servicemen may get weightage in respect of eligibility
for their past military service after confirmation of service in the bank.
- An officer shall be entitled to Housing Loan only once
during his service.
- If husband and wife are both working in our bank or one of
them is working in any other bank/local body/State or Central Govt. etc., only one of them
will be eligible for housing loan.

| Purpose: |
- Acquiring of a plot of land and constructing a house
thereon.
- Construction of a new house on a plot of land already
acquired.
- Enlargement of an existing house owned by the officer
- Conversion of hire purchase into outright purchase of house
from State Housing Board or similar Govt. controlled Bodies and outright purchase of newly
built house from Govt., Semi-Govt., Local Bodies, Housing Board, Development Authorities
etc. and from private parties.
- Purchase of house under Self- financing Housing Scheme and
Co-operative Group Housing Societies.
- Repayment of loan taken from Bank/ Private Source for House
Construction, even if the construction has already commenced.

| Limits: |
| Effective from 1.9.1999 the limit for housing
loan is Rs.7.50 lac. |

commence from the salary of the month following completion of construction or from 18th
month from the date of disbursement of first instalment of the loan.

- Mortgage of the proposed/existing flat/ house property.
- Charge on Terminal benefits i.e.PF and Gratuity payable etc.

| Additional Housing Loan |
| Eligibility: |
| Officers who have availed housing loan under
Bank's Housing Loan Scheme prior to 1.9.1999 are eligible. |
| Purpose: |
- For carrying out additions, alterations, repairs and
renovation of a permanent nature in the house/ flat constructed by availing Bank's Housing
Loan after seven years of occupation of the said house.
- For conversion of Supplementary Housing Loan or for
repayment of Institutional Loans namely from HDFC, LIC, NHB, Other Banks etc. availed for
carrying out additions, alterations, repairs and renovation of a permanent nature in the
house/flat constructed by availing Bank's housing Loan after seven years of occupation of
the said house/ flat.

| Limits: |
- 50 times of monthly pay or estimated cost of enlargement,
alterations, repairs or renovation whichever is less subject to a limit of Rs.2 lacs.
- The additional loan amount shall not exceed the difference
between the Housing Loan limit of Rs.7.50 lacs and the housing loan amount already
availed.

- 50% of the limits shall be reimbursed on certificate basis
and 50% on production of receipts.
- Monthly limits shall not be overdrawn. But unavailed limit
for a month may be carried over to the next month. Unavailed limit at the end of a
calendar year shall lapse.
- Monthly limits shall be reduced prorata when an officer is
away on leave or on Banks duty for continuous period of 3 months which does not
require incurring of such expenses.

Membership of any one of the service club viz. Rotary Club,
Lions Club or Round Table and any two of the following professional institutions is
allowed.
- The Indian Institute of Bankers
- Institute of Bankers , London
- Institute of Chartered Accountants
- Institute of Cost and Work Accountants
- Any other Institute Approved by the Bank.
- For membership of the above professional institutes, the
officer shall be a Fellow or a Diploma holder of the Institution.
- Admission fees and membership subscription to Bankers
club (permitted by the Bank) shall be outside the above limits.

| Regulation
32 ( Casual Leave) |
An officer shall be eligible for casual leave on full
emoluments for 12 working days in a year provided that not more than four days casual
leave may be availed of at any time.
- Casual leave not availed of in any year may be suffixed or
prefixed to sick leave within the next three years.
- Unavailed Casual Leave may be availed in the following year
not exceeding a day on grounds of sickness without production of medical certificate.

| Certain Important Operational Guidelines |
Public holidays and Sundays may be prefixed or suffixed to
such leave. Public holidays and weekly offs falling within the period of sanctioned casual
leave will not be treated as a part of casual leave. Casual leave shall not be granted in
combination with any other leave.
During first calendar year of joining the Banks
service, the casual leave would be 1 day per month for first calendar year and fraction of
month will be treated as full month. But retiring officer shall be entitled to full 12
days (and not prorata) casual leave for calendar year during which he retires.
Casual leave not availed and converted to sick leave as on
31.12.78 shall not lapse in the following year, but shall be maintained in separate
account distinct from normal sick leave. It will be above the normal limit of 540 days and
can be availed on full pay after exhausting normal sick leave.
Where leave is applied for particular reason and it is found
that leave was utilized for participating Dharna / Demonstration / Agitation etc. the Bank
may cancel such leave and not pay him salary for leave applied on false ground without
prejudice to Banks right to take disciplinary action.
Officers promoted on or after 1.7.79 are allowed to avail
sick leave accumulated out of conversion of unavailed casual leave prior to his promotion,
any time during the course of his service. |
| Special casual Leave and Special Leave: |
Special casual leave is sanctioned in the following cases: |
| A. Family Planning Operations: |
| i |
14 days casual leave for female
employees who undergo tubectomy operation. |
| ii |
5 days casual leave to male
employees who undergo vasectomy operation |
| iii |
However, in both the above cases
if employee develops post sterilization complications, he or she may be allowed additional
casual leave to cover the period of hospitalization on the basis of certificate from
hospital /doctor. |
| iv |
One day casual leave to female
employee who had IUD insertion. |
| v |
Special casual leave upto 7 days
to male employee whose wife undergoes non-puerperal tubectomy operation on production of
medical certificate to the effect that his presence was required during her convalescence.
Sundays and holidays falling in between such special casual leave shall be taken into
account. |
| vi |
Special Casual Leave can be
prefixed, suffixed to any kind of leave including Casual Leave. |
|
B. Inability to attend office on account of imposition of curfew as under: |
| Where the Bank remained closed: |
If the bank remained closed for the entire day due to imposition of curfew special leave
for the day and if the bank remained partially open, the officer employee who attended the
bank shall be deemed to be on duty and the rest on leave. |
| Where the Bank remained open: |
| Where the officer employee could not attend
office on account of curfew at the place of residence or at the place which falls on the
way to Bank, he will be treated on special casual leave. No special casual leave in the above circumstances will be given if
it is found that
a) the officer employee could have reached
the office by avoiding curfew area via another route.
b) Govt. authorities had permitted such
movements.

| C. Natural calamities: |
| If the closure of the bank is necessitated
due to natural calamities such as fire, rains, deluge special casual leave can be allowed. |
| D. For attending conferences/meeting
by Office bearers of officers Association. |
| i |
Office bearers of AIUCBOF/
Association affiliated to AIUCBOF who are also members of AIBOC would be permitted special
leave upto 21 days in a calendar year. |
| ii |
Office bearers of AIUCBOF/
Association affiliated to AIUCBOF, who are members of Central Committee of AIBOC would be
permitted special leave upto 17 days in a calendar year. |
| ii |
Office bearers of AIUCBOF/
Association affiliated to AIUCBOF who are also office bearer of Executive Committee of
State or Region of AIBOC upto maximum 7 days in a calendar year. |

| Provided that the officer falling in more
than one situations as above may avail the benefit of higher number of leaves. |
| E. For Blood Donation: |
| One day special leave may be sanctioned on
production of certificate from doctor / hospital. |
| F. Disabled Ex-servicemen
may be granted special leave not exceeding 15 days in a year including transit time both
ways for appearing before Medical Survey Board or to enable them to go for artificial limb
replacement or for treatment on the basis of certificate. |
| G. 30 days special leave in
a year may be granted for participating in National /International event and for acting as
Coach, Umpire, Manager etc. at the invitation of State / National Associations. |
| H. 30 days special leave in
a year may be granted for participating in cultural activities sponsored by Central/ State
Govts. |
